Teenage Stories

Julia Fullerton-Batten's series, Teenage Stories (image above), was something I came across a few years ago, but found again yesterday on a hunt for miniature photography inspiration. All of her work is wonderfully awkward and strange, and her use of light is amazing, but this series in particular is the one I always end up revisiting. When aesthetics, creativity, and content come together beautiful things happen.

I recently found out that these images were taken in Mini-Europe, which is a miniature theme park in Brussels, Belgium. It essentially is a 1:25 scale model of Europe, including 80 cities, 350 buildings, bonsai trees, moving cars and trains, and waterways. Basically, it's a trippy Disney Land for miniature lovers!
