Small Time Crime

Looking for some miniature inspiration, I came across Bill Finger's series "Previously". This cinematographer turned photographer creates miniature murder scenes. The final product is the photograph, and the original sets are deconstructed and laid to rest. After reading his artist statement, I found so many similarities between his work and my own. In particular, I was interested in how he too loves to leave the viewer wondering, "how much truth is there to the photograph?".
Somehow miniatures have a wonderful way of pushing that question to the forefront, when really we should always be asking that of any image.
